The rains are turning out to be a lucky mascot for director Lal Jose. There is some kind of magical relationship between the director and the rains.

During the shoot of his latest flick Elsamma Enna Aankutty suddenly thunder showers started. Lal Jose says the rains follow him wherever he shoots.

The director recalled that during the shoot of his Meesa Madhavan and Classmates in Kerala, it had rained and both were blockbusters.

Says Lal Jose : It may be sheer coincidence that while I was shooting for Chanthupottu in Goa it rained and even while I was shooting forArabikatha in deserts near Dubai there was rain.

However his first Tamil film based on rains in a village near Tirunelveli, titled Mazha Vara Poguthu, never took off due to insufficient rains in Tirunelveli districts last year! No wonder that the ace director has named his house in Kochi as Mazha.
