Nana is very friendly, says film producer
Siddaraju, who made his debut as producer with the film ‘Dhuniya’, has a reason to smile. He had the opportunity to invite Bollywood star Nana Patekar to his residence during a song sequence of ‘Yaksha’.
The producer's family members were surprised, when Nana visited their residence.
"Nana used to call me Siddu on the sets. He told me that he wanted to visit my home. I thought it to be a joke, but I was very happy when he actually arrived. He cooked non-vegetarian food for us," said the producer.
Showering praises on Nana for his simplicity and humility, the producer said that initially he was apprehensive to have Nana in the film. "I had a doubt on Nana's cooperation during the shooting. I thought that he would create problems for us since the director and I had no experience in film making, but he proved me wrong. He is very cooperative and has no ego," said the producer.
‘Yaksha's shooting commenced last November. Siddaraju's son Yogesh and Rupali from Delhi are playing the lead roles. Atul Kulkarni, Master Hirannaiah, Girish Karnad, Sharanya, Komal, Kishore are the other artistes in this film.
It is believed that producer had spent more than Rs 30 lakh to picturise the title song of this film. "We engaged 18 dancers, including six from abroad and six are from Mumbai, for this song sequence. A special set was also created at Abbaiah Naidu Studio," he said.
Yogesh's fans have high expectations on ‘Yaksha’, since it is one of his costliest films. According to reliable sources, the producer had spent more than Rs 4 crore to complete the shooting of this film.
Ramesh R Bhagavatar makes debut as director with Yaksha.
