    Default ? Test forum phpBB2 on a PC (not connected to internet)

    Can you tell me if we can install php and test forum phpbb2 on a computer that not connected to internet.
    I want to test everythings about forum in my PC. So if anyone know, please help me. Thanks !

    download server program such as apache and install it
    then download MySQL and install it
    then download and install forum.

    simple. if u understand lithuanian go to php.lt

    You might be better using something like WAMP (available at http://www.en.wampserver.com/ ). This will install and set up everything you need (in terms of web server, mySQL and PHP) so that you can avoid having any problems with the "backend" of the system and instead concentrate on getting phpbb2 working.

    define site like localhost or something. then in ANY web browser type http://localhost. simple

    Dude, download EasyPHP. It's easy to setup (click a few Okay's and a few Next's and it's ready to use. You will need to know how phpMyAdmin works for database driven scripts!

    I downloaded WAMP. I try to install phpBB, but there is an error in SQL database.
    What should I do now ?
    I have to make a new SQL database, doesn't it ?
    If it is true, can you tell me how to create database and install phpBB2.

    yeah . you need to set up localhost , PHP , MySQL..... and you can set up your own forum . But sometime it doesn't work
