He is the director who rules in commercial in Tamil and the other is the superstar of Tamil Nadu. And both are coming together for ‘Raana’. The film started rolling today without much pomp and show considering the multitude of huge names it is associated with. Director Ravikumar and Rajinikanth have got together a couple of times before and the result was blockbusters that sent the Tamil crowd into a frenzy. The Rajini-Ravikumar pair came together for ‘Muthu’ for the first time and then again for ‘Padayappa.’ Both films rocked the box office. Both films had the director sharing the screen space with the superstar at least for a few minutes. We the fans of both the superstar and the director hope we get to see some onscreen time of the two together again.
Ravikumar’s films apart from a strong story backing also have a liberal amount of comedy in all his films. We are yet to know who would be roped in for the comedy this time around. We will let you know as and when we receive confirmed news on this. ‘Raana’ will have Deepika Padukone supplying the oomph factor. She hit the news stands for her sleek dance moves in ‘Dhum Maaro Dhum’.
