Meh, you should probably use software if you're really dedicated to increasing your speed. Typing alone can speed you up, but also lead to developing bad habits. It takes some discipline.

i use that programs too and its true it will imporve yor typing skills chatting with friends will not actually improve your typing skills like using those programs like typor
