Prasanna has departed today for Sabarimala on a holy pilgrimage. He has donned the customary mala, observed the 41-day penance by refraining from eating meat, cutting his hair, and the other prescribed strictures. It is expected that he will walk for at least part of the arduous journey to the temple. The pilgrimage is usually undertaken to remove bad forces in ones life, improve its quality and improve the life span. With Muran poised for release, Prasanna must be praying fervently for its success.
