With the Admission Supervisory Committee, the Justice P A Muhammed Committee, asking the Kerala Self-Financing Engineering College Management Association not to conduct the entrance test for engineering admission today, the association has decided to abandon the test . The Association has now prepared a ranklist on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination by the students who had applied for its entrance. The Association has now informed its member colleges numbering over 80 that they can admit students from this ranklist, after ascertaining that the Entrance ranklist of Commissioner of Entrance Examination has exhausted. A total of 75 engineering colleges who took part in the second allotment can do so even before that.

The Association has further said that the students who are ranked in the list are eligible for 1st year B.Tech admission for 2011-12 in any engineering colleges coming under the association.
