Sandhya marriage rumours

Denying reports appeared in a section of the media that she was engaged to someone and would marry him soon, Sandhya has said her focus would be on acting at least for the next couple of years. “There is no question of entering wedlock now,” she clarifies. “After reading those reports, many had started asking me whether I am planning to bid adieu to acting. My answer to them is a big no. I would like to concentrate more on films and waiting for a right opportunity in Kollywood,” said the ‘Kadhal’ and ‘Thoondil’ actress.
Saying that she was busy all these days with Malayalam projects, Sandhya said she has finished them now. “I am bored acting in stereotype roles in Tamil. Even the fans too would feel the same. So I am waiting for a challenging characters,” she says with hope.
Born as Revathy, Sandhya made her debut as an actress in the 2004 Tamil film ‘Kaadhal’, her performance in which earned her a Filmfare Award and Tamil Nadu State Award. In 2006, for her role in the Tamil film ‘Dishyum’ she got a Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress, and she earned a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her debut Telugu film ‘Annavaram’.
