Britney Spears is ready to walk down the aisle for the third time as the pop star has agreed to marry her longtime boyfriend and former agent Jason Trawick. Trawick who has been in a relationship with the 30-year-old singer since May 2010 has proposed to her recently.
And he confirmed reports of the engagement to US television entertainment show Access Hollywood.
Spears also broke the news to her fans over Twitter.
“OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!!” the Telegraph quoted her as tweeting.
Spears later said she was heading to Las Vegas where she intended to throw a 40th birthday party for her fiance.
According to celebrity news magazine Us Weekly, Trawick popped the question at a private dinner, and presented the singer with a three-carat round stone and pave diamond ring.
Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons, six-year-old Sean Preston and five-year-old Jayden James. The couple divorced in 2006.
She was also briefly married to childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004, following a spontaneous wedding in Las Vegas, but the marriage was annulled after 55 hours.
