Feast of St Sebastian at Arthunkal Basilica

Flag Hoisting by Most. Rev. Dr. Francis Kallarackal, Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly, on 10 Jan 2012 at 7.30 pm at St Andrew's Basilica, Arthunkal. A thousand colourful Hydrogen balloons were released and a grand fireworks followed before the Prayers.

Nada thurackal ceremony at St Andrew's Basilica, Arthunkal was on 18 Jan 2012 at 5 am. The miraculous statue of St Sebastian which was kept in lock is placed inside the church for public viewing. It is placed in a wooden chariot from 18 to 27 Jan every year.

20 Jan 2012 : The 11th day is the main festival day. The procession with the statue of St Sebastian at 4 pm attracts a huge crowd.
