what do i need to activate my account?

Sorry.. but i receive first a email with the information of the forum.. so i activated it.. but i didn't receive the e-mail with the informations to i acess the ftp... i tried acess it... i put the ftp... the user.. and the pass.. but it didn't connect... i remember that i looked on some part of some email saying that i need a determinated number of post here in the forum.. can you explain me?

cause i too did everything required and activated as requested but when trying to view my webpage, i got error msg 404
