I downloaded this browser. i hated downloading all these small small plugins and addons which were just 3 Kb or something. So i have zipped all of them except the browser setup and uploaded in turboupload. those who wish to download them as a single file pls download from this.

What are the recommended settings for this Maxthon browser without any antivirus installed in my computer?
The first page of any site gets downloaded but the next pages gives me a 404 error.

There are not much recommended settings
And by default the settings are good enough
the only thing I'd like to suggest is use agud skin
and the second thing enable all filters
i like this browser bcoz it displayes CLEAN webpage
Clean means no ads especially Google ads which r not blocked by many
browsers

This seems to b unusual. Bcoz I havent got that problem
and u r the first 1 to report this. If that is the case try to
disable all filters. This will allow the ads and popups
But be cautious and try this on websites like Yahoo or SIfy
If this succeds then u are facing problem bcoz of the AD blocker

AD blocker in Maxthon browser is tooo good and blocks almost every ad

I prefer Opera.

Yeah, I run across sites now and then that it doesn't like. When I do, I just copy and paste the URL into IE.

I know Mozilla/Firefox is supposed to be good, but I think Opera is a little more secure. And I've gotten very used to it's tabbed browsing feature.
